Mrs. Stephanie Harris

Stephanie Harris is the English Language Arts and Social Studies Instructional Coach for Country Club Hills School District 160. Mrs. Harris attended Alabama State University in Montgomery Alabama, where she worked as a student worker in the Center Alabama Regional In-service Center. Additionally as a student she was elected President of Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, Vice President of the Student Alabama Education Association, and a student delegate to the National Education Association. She graduated from Alabama State University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education.
Her first teaching position was in Selma, Alabama at Bruce K. Craig Elementary School. During her first year of teaching she began working on her graduate education at Alabama State University. During her graduated studies she worked for Montgomery Public Schools. She moved to the Chicagoland area in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina; later working for Lindop Elementary School. She continued her studies receiving her Masters of Educational Leadership, Administration, and Supervision in 2009. Additionally, she was an IEA Regional Minority representative and IEA/NEA delegate for 5 years.
In 2011, Mrs. Harris began her work as an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal for a Chicago Public School Contract Charter School, Plato Learning Academy. In this position, she worked with many teachers, students, school-level administrators, and network administrators. She has developed Common Core Curriculum Maps for English Language Arts K-8th grade, provided numerous trainings on Differentiated Instruction, Balanced Literacy, and Response to Intervention.
As the English Language Arts Instructional Coach for Country Club Hills School District, Mrs. Stephanie Harris strives to provide teachers with the resources, tools, and strategies necessary to increase student achievement for every child, every chance, every day.
